Kaziranga Jungle Safari

Kaziranga Jungle Safari

Looking for Greater one-horned rhinos, Royal Bengal tigers, Gangetic river dolphins, Asiatic elephants? We’ve got them all- in one place. This is where the wild things roam, including over 40 species of mammals and two-thirds of the world’s rhinoceros population. Sightings here are guaranteed, but there’s more. From marshy wetlands to expansive savannahs, this UNESCO World Heritage Site features a diverse landscape that ensures every visit is unique.

Timeless Tradition

Meet the women weaving wonders. Just a 45 min drive from Durrung, lies Sengeli Mari Gaon, an off the grid village where women are putting their ancestral skills on the map. Using the region’s native Eri and Muga silk, over 500 women create handloom products renowned for their quality and craftsmanship. But, more than that, they are storytellers at heart, who share their tales with you as you try your hand at weaving or preparing a local dish.

Timeless Tradition
Bihu

Bihu

A celebration of unity within diversity, the traditional Bihu dance brings together people from Assam and beyond. The banks of the Brahmaputra come alive with the rhythm of the double- headed dhol. horn-pipes and flute as the dancers twirl to the beat in shades of red. Symbolising the arrival of spring and the Assamese New Year, the dance marks a time for rejuvenation and prosperity. Both of which we can get behind.

Nameri National Park

A reserve forest in 1978, a wildlife sanctuary in 1985, and a national park in 1998. Nameri National Park has undergone many changes over the years. Yet, it continues to be known for being one of India’s most impressive yet underrated wildlife destinations. Looking to go bird watching? You’ll find nearly 300 species, including the rare white-winged wood duck. Dreaming of spotting a big cat? You’re in the right place, at one of Assam’s four tiger reserves. And if you’re still thirsting for adventure, river rafting on the Jia Bhoroli is also on offer.
